An opportunity for a Category Associate has arisen to join this market leading organisation based in Sydney CBD. The ability to liaise with teams across the full Procurement Services model and with internal customers and suppliers.
In this unique role, the candidate will implement managed approved category and demand initiatives as directed, provides support to any category management projects and support the Category Manager and specialist in sourcing industry best practice information and applying to relevant category.
Good knowledge of procurement including understanding core commercial drivers
Previous experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: Travel, Fleet Management, Insurance, Warehouse and Logistics, Corporate Wardrobe and Office Supplies
- Sound communications skills to ensure consistent messages in communication with internal customers / stakeholders
- Excellent report writing skills
- Customer focused
- Team player, experience in working with both executive and operational teams
- Previous experience in a professional corporate environment dealing with complex organisational structures and processes.
- Advanced skill in the Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Professional customer service with a “can-do” attitude.
