Your experience in the Life Insurance Industry and readiness to move in to a Senior Claims Assessor role will open the door for you to join a dynamic and experienced team of this Australian national financial services corporation. Based in the CBD, you will be a key member of their nation-wide Claims Assessment team looking after Group Life Insurance claims. The role:- Assessment of Group Life Insurance claims - Death, Trauma, TPD, Income Protection/Salary Continuance
- Assessment of medical, financial, legal occupation and rehabilitation basis
- Make determination of benefits and payouts
- Submitting determination
- Authorising payments
To be considered for this role, you MUST demonstrate:- At least 3 years experience in the Assessment of Claims within a Group or Retail Life environment
- Very strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of the legislative environment, benefit thresholds and the dispute resolution process
- Exceptional communication skills; proven ability to deal with claimants directly
- Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency
